Local people working to Save Marysville's indoor heated pool from demolition! More than 2000 people have signed petitions etc, but there's a long way to go.
We need this pool because it offers education that saves lives; jobs in the local economy; health benefits through physical activity and rehabilitation programs; an all-seasons recreational product for tourists and locals. $100,000 of Federal Government funding went into its construction; its less than 10 years old and it survived Black Saturday; we have qualified people ready to staff it, as they did up until December 2012. Now what we need is some good-will from government and private developers who are in partnership to redevelop the site.
